How to tune a bass

Standard tuning, from the thickest string: B0 · E1 · A1 · D2 · G2. Press start, play one string at a time and let it ring. If the needle is left of center the string is flat: tighten it. Right of center is sharp: loosen it. Within 5 cents it turns green.

The tuner picks the nearest string on its own. To tune one string on purpose (for example a string that is far off), tap its button: it stays selected and plays the reference note. Tap it again to go back to automatic.

Other tuners: guitar tuner, ukulele tuner, violin tuner, chromatic tuner.
